Thanksgiving 2006
Today went well, it wasn't actually Thanksgiving Day day, it was the day after, but it was Thanksgiving. My Uncle Linden and his new wife, Andrea, came up and it was so nice to see them (and to meet Andrea). And I was able to eat some food. Well, a very small amount, but still it was quite nummy. Mostly I was able to taste everything, and boy was it all wonderful. What makes me excited is to think that this time next year I will should be down or at least very close to my goal weight.
It is still weird to me to get so full so quickly, that is biggest problem right now. I didn't fill up my plate per se, I just put a tablespoon of each, turkey, corn, green bean casserole, pretzel jello salad, and some mashed potatoes (which was closer to 1/8 cp).
Today I had a Protein Shake in the morning, some apple cider a few hours later, then the Thanksgiving dinner, and when we came home I had some pureed potatoes and turkey (which wasn't too bad considering), and then I did have a small desert of upside - down pumpkin pie (which is some amazing stuff). I think because I didn't puree the dinner (I did smush up the turkey and I didn't have a whole lot of it), and i tried to puree everything in my mouth as much as possible, but I still had a bit of a tummy ache once we got home.
Last night was a very rough nite as Aidan and lilly were both quite sick and with different things. Aidan threw up all night about every two hours he would wake up and puke every where. Then lilly has a horrible cold and was having a hard time breathing. So, about every 10-20 mins I was having to get up and care for someone until 4:30 this morning, so needless to say, I didn't go to sleep until 4:30 this morning but Stew let me sleep until noon, which was nice.
I was just telling Stew that I feel like I have been pigging out because I am quite full, but in reality I haven't had much to eat all day. I only ate two meals all day.
All in all it went well. I am full and tired and a bit sore, but doing well.
